Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Candidate will be working as an Analyst Designer to gather requirements and specifications, to document existing and future business and systems processes, and to provide guidance to developers developing the systems. He/she may also help to create the UAT which helps to validate that the systems have been implemented correctly.
The candidate must work productively with broad instructions and limited supervision. The candidate must have sufficiently well developed business systems analysis skills and strong knowledge of finance processes that will allow him/her to effectively deal with unfamiliar challenges.The candidate will regularly participate in important projects or activities as a full contributing team member in order to proactively identify potential risks and issues. The candidate will seek appropriate level of guidance and advices to ensure delivery of quality outcomes.

Major Functions:
• Analyze business processes that are specific to responsible department operations;
• Identify, define and document business processes and application requirements;
• Develop application requirements based on input gathered from different sources including results and feedback from the user community;
• Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements for product, performance, and user acceptance testing;
• Participate in transitioning the requirements and uses cases to the designers, developers, and ensure a clear complete understanding of the requirements;
• Work with the project manager, functional consultants, and other team members to ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner;
• Assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules;
• Assist in the facilitation of team and business community meetings;
• Deliver informative and well-presented documentations;
• Serve as a liaison to the business community. Participate in a user and task analysis to maintain the business community’s perspective;
• Develop relationships with business community;
• Communicate effectively with business community to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.

Requirements

Business Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of the following financial functions (not limited to the following::
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- General Ledger
- Asset Management
- Closing Processes – Yearend, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Consolidations, etc..
- Banking (within the GCC)

General Qualifications:
• BS in economics, business administration or engineering with IT experience or BS in Computer Science or Information Technology with a business experience;
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus;
• At least 5 years of related experience;
• Willing to be located in Dubai;
• Experience in ERP implementation is a plus;
• Ability to work in a team and in multicultural environments as well as to work and innovate independently;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Synthetic presentation of the key aspects of the challenges and potential issues of the project;
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in analyzing and recommending solutions;
• Ability to deal with pressure and tight deadlines;
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously;
• Ability to implement solutions that meet targets for accuracy, quality, cost and timeliness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
• Well-organized, detail oriented, collaborative, good people and relationship management skills.

• Operating System : WinXP, Windows7

• Tools and Utilities: MS Office applications. Project Management Applications (MS Project), ERP Systems (those with MS Dynamics AX will have an advantage), MS Visio

• Non IT skills / Soft Skills : Business Analysis, Interviewing (of the End User) Skills, Communications Skills, Listening, Business Writing, Presentation Skills, Facilitating Discussions, Analysis and Problem Solving, Technical Recommendation and Testing, Project Execution
