Job description / Role
Our client a turnkey developer of solar power projects is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team. The UAE based position requires strong financial modeling proficiency, analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills. Candidates should be intellectually curious, have a passion for renewable energy and be self-motivated quick learners.
Primary responsibilities will include assessing financial feasibility of commercial solar projects and conducting research on relevant solar markets and incentives. Specific responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analyzing available market information
- Assisting in the preparation of prospect marketing materials
- Participate on deal teams to execute the sales and financing of projects
- Constructing and maintaining detailed financial models
The Senior Financial Analyst will be working directly with the senior professionals of the firm and will have the opportunity to get involved in every aspect of the solar project development business.
Requirements
- Candidates with a MSc or MBA from a top tier business school or CFA qualified will be highly preferred.
- 1 - 3 years finance experience
- Investment banking, project finance, or corporate M&A experience is preferred
- Solar or renewable energy experience is a plus
- Excellent financial modelling skills and strong quantitative ability
- Professional presence and ability to communicate effectively to senior executives
- Ability to work under the guidance of a senior PF team member or stretch upwards to operate at the level of an investment banking senior analyst or junior associate as demanded by the situation
- Ability to creatively apply finance thinking and analysis to a wide range of problems related to the solar energy space with focus on utility-scale solar
