The RoleThe RoleA leading Investment Company in Abu Dhabi are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the team. The successful Financial Analyst will be responsible to perform research, conduct valuation analysis, and provide forecasts on business, industry and economic conditions and present recommendations on various investment products, mutual funds, fund managers and investment opportunities to the Senior Manager, Investments Portfolio. Key Duties will be: • Researches and collates financial, market and economic information for the purpose of presenting various investment analyses. • Analyzes and interprets data affecting investment programs including pricing, yield, stability, future trends, investment risks and economic theory so as to evaluate the performance of various investment programs. The focus is on detailed, primary research (along with an analysis of available 3rd party research), both Macro and Micro, in order to create a compelling and robust analysis and valuation platform, to truly add value and competitive advantage to the investing effort. • Monitors fundamental economic, industrial and corporate developments. This includes constant analysis of information obtained from various financial publications and services, investment banking firms, governmental agencies, trade publications, company sources and personal interviews. Extracts key data for the purpose of developing future financial and economic models for investment purposes. |
RequirementsRequirements• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Mathematics/Economics/Physics or Statistics, with 5 to 7 years of experience in an investment analysis or advisor role covering various asset classes and geographies. Ideally with an insurance company, investment bank, brokerage house, pension fund or other organizations in the financial services or investment community, or • Post-graduate degree in finance/mathematics/economics or statistics from a top tier university with 3 - 4 years of experience in an investment analysis or advisor role covering various asset classes and geographies. Ideally with an insurance company, investment bank, brokerage house, pension fund or other organizations in the financial services or investment community. • Candidate with “Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)” Certification will have an added advantage. Knowledge & Skills • Hands on experience performing complex financial/economic modeling and analysis, • Good knowledge of accounting standards so as to understand and analyze financial statements, • Proficient with MS Office esp. with spreadsheet applications and database management, • Proficient in Bloomberg / Reuters / other Financial Data provider systems (Firstcall, Datastream etc) • Strong analytical ability with strong attention to details, • Good interpersonal and communication skills, • Strong report writing ability, • Strong command over English Language (Arabic would be an added advantage), • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Salary Package up to 20,000 Dhs plus Bonus plus Benefits. |
