Job description / Role
Renowned as a market leader of global multi faceted security solutions the G4S UAE operation specializes in manned security solutions, outsourcing , Faculties management and electronic Security Solutions spanning a headcount of 11,000 across the country, we have a key requirement for a Finance Analyst for UAE operation.
The Financial Analyst will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly management reporting, providing planning and budgeting financial information and financial support to senior management within G4S to support performance assessment and audit management.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Monthly Management Reporting:
- Support preparation of management reports with key financial performance data and analysis.
- Timely completion of reporting requirements in accordance with IFRS and corporate policy.
- Support General Accountants by reviewing monthly management accounts in relation to month end accruals and prepayment journals in comparison to budget/ forecast information.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management and financial reports for the respective divisional Managing Directors and regional trade review.
- Analyse monthly variances of actual against prior months/ budget/ forecast and explain major deviations to divisional managers make appropriate recommendations.
- Prepare detailed analysis on revenue recognition across each division highlighting monthly trends and variances against budget/ forecast.
Planning and Budgeting:
- Assist in the preparation of budget and forecasts and maintain the management reporting and budgeting system.
- Assist budget holders with preparation of budget templates challenging key assumptions in line with budget targets.
- Analyse and investigate variances against budgets/forecasts and provide explanations by liaising with budget holders.
Financial Support:
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and financial analysis when required to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Analyze major customer contract costs on periodic basis and explain variances against budget benchmark.
- Conduct quarterly balance sheet reviews in conjunction with the Regional Financial Controller
- Support Financial Controller with internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA)
- Relevant experience in preparation of management accounts in a multi divisional organisation
- Experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced IT skills (especially in Excel, BPC additional benefit)
- Strong team player
- Good planning and organizational skills; able to priorities workload and meet strict deadlines
