Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Specific Areas of Responsibility
- Reviews and ensures accuracy, integrity and quality of all General Ledge accounting transactions, journal entry transactions and supporting documents related to Live Events.
- Prepare allocation and other recovery related journal entries related to Live Events as per the requirement.
- Responsible for the full reconciliation process of Live Events and preparation of related journal entries in ERP.
- To review month-end and year-end closing of Live Events accounting.
- Maintain the complete documentation for the Live Events in DWTC and prepare month-wise files for audit purposes.
- Managing the relationship with Live Events in terms of reporting and actuals for Live Events.
- Prepare periodic report of costs incurred by DWTC on behalf of Live Events and submit for reimbursement from DWTC account.
- Responsible for monthly variance analysis of G3 accounts and ensure that any major variances in financial performance have been satisfactorily explained and appropriate remedial action taken.
- Responsible to attend to any queries in relation to accounting transactions of Live Events and resolve any issues arising from general ledger processing anomalies for Live Events as quickly as possible.
- To plan and control the production of long and medium term financial planning information and forecasts of Live Events in line with policies, procedures and timelines communicated by VP Finance.
- To review and present monthly CEO and BOD reposting packs for Live Events.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of P&L by event.
- Support P&B and GL team in the monthly/quarterly/annual closing and planning activity.
- To perform other tasks as directed by VP Finance.

Process Improvement and Enhance Internal Control
- To assist in the development of the governance of Finance policies and procedures and authority matrix and to assist in the development of the internal financial control framework for Live Events.
- To address and drive closure to issues pertaining to Internal Audit in relation to Live Events.
- To drive and lead initiatives to enhance process capability and internal controls for the Live Events related functions.
- Formulates accounting solutions for new transactions and resolves any discrepancies regarding complicated transactions or general ledger issues for Live Events.
- To manage audit activities (Government, External and Internal Audit) for Live Events.
- To ensure all external reporting for Live Events complies with required regulatory and professional standards, particularly IFRS.
- To assist in the key stakeholders to further refine and improve Finance work processes and policies abd adopt best practices in Live Events.
- To provide improvement recommendations regarding the budgeting and accounting process of Live Events.

Leadership in EY Partnership for the Section
- Coach the EY team to accomplish their assigned tasks.
- Proactively takes steps/ action required in ensuring adherence to service levels for the section including putting in place/driving actions required to bring service levels back in line (if required).
- To monitor the performance of EY to ensure optimum performance.
- Timely communication of process changes and other relevant information related to DWTC and the section.
- Ensures the activities of the outsourced team comply with DWTCs internal control policies and procedures and effective measurement SLA and KPI as relevant to the function.

Requirements

- University degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience:
- At least 6 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and use financial planning and accounting systems.
