The Financial Controller - Management Reporting is part of the SADAFCO Finance Team which sets the agenda and runs the finance function to service the business at its optimum performance.

The role reports to the CFO and encompasses the following key responsibilities:
- Partner with CFO for facilitating business requirements. This will include owning all finance processes, guiding profitability and partnering in commercial decision making. Driving the Win With Customer agenda is a key part of the role.
- Leadership will be important, both within the finance function and also more widely across all the functions in the company, particularly Marketing, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain.

Key Accountabilities
- Finance Team member providing stewardship to the business
- Advising and participating in building strategic plans for the business and leading the translation of strategy into financial plans, KPIs and targets
- Responsible for providing timely and accurate annual budgets to the CFO as well as the periodic changes to the budget. Driving the processes and coordinating input from various departments
- Develop, design and monitor companywide scorecard on key KPIs and targets for the business and proactively advising on the KPIs
- Lead detailed analysis on decision support to all departments ensuring that cost remains within desired targets
- Understanding and applying the basic principles of internal control policies and accounting procedures to ensure the efficient use of accounting systems in a valid and reliable way. Also ensure that accounting records comply with legal, fiscal and accounting requirements
- Effectively planning and managing the periodical formal business reporting process (e.g. annual budget, monthly reporting and BOD reporting)
- Provide regularly management reports and provide feedback to management, resulting in high quality reporting on trends and issues, accompanied with corrective action suggestions
- Able to work effectively with line management and other functional disciplines by facilitating adaptation to changes in business dynamics and their impact on the financial management policies and procedures
- Provide commercial support and input to the management on all aspects of the business and ensure that the commercial controls in the area of spend, selling systems and concern entities are effective and assist management in maximizing the productivity of expenditure
- Able to identify all areas of financial risk across the business and act as per company policy
- Understanding and application of techniques used to support business decision making
- Understanding of ICT systems and their impact on the financial processes
- Able to co-operate and work in project teams with other disciplines and obtain others commitment and support for ideas and plans
- The role is challenging and is an excellent development opportunity for an energetic, high caliber candidate who has the desire to become a successor to the CFO. He will also take a lead role in the development of a diverse multi-cultural finance team and develop a high quality cadre of finance managers.

Requirements

- Educational level: Masters in Finance or Accounting , MBA, or Professional qualification (or equivalent) of CA, CIMA, CPA
- Good accounting/finance knowledge
- Minimal experience: a Finance professional with minimum 7 years experience of which at least 5 years experience preferably in FMCG industry in a management reporting capacity, e.g. Financial Controller
- Ability to gain in depth understanding of the tools.\
- ERP experience & understanding advantageous
- Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic reading, writing and conversation is an advantage
