Job description / Role
An experienced Financial Controller is required for a leasing and finance business based in Algeria.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Managing the entire finance and accounting functions;
- Coordinating and liaising with Internal and External Auditors;
- Ensuring that all statutory requirements of the organization are met;
- Conducting regular reviews and ensuring that internal financial and accounting policies and procedures are adhered to;
- Training, coaching, motivating and evaluating their team and ensuring that the department has the necessary skill base;
- Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash;
- Supervising Treasury, Import and Costing Functions;
- Preparing Financial Statements (Month-end, Quarterly and Year-end Statements)
- Handling Corporate Taxes, Statutory and regulatory reporting and returns.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelors Degree from a recognized Institution with a major in Finance- CPA/CA qualified. An MBA from a recognized Institution will be preferred
- 5-8 years experience (Big 4 background preferred)
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP software (preferred)
- Fluent in English / French and Arabic
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Highly professional and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Leadership and delegation skills
- Highly organized, an excellent planner with attention to detail
