The Role


The Role


Our client is an established multinational freight forwarding and logistics group who are looking to recruit an experienced professional to assume the role of Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be based in the Democratic Republic of Congo and will oversee their operations in East Africa.

As the Finance Controller you will be responsible for the total control of the accounting function including financial management, preparing accounts as well as statements and budgets. You will manage creditors and suppliers, cash flow forecasting and foreign currency management as well as being responsible for the preparation for audit and the development of policies and procedures.

The role will involve regular travel to other locations in East Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

To be considered for this role candidates should have at least five years relevant experience working within accounts as well as previous experience independently finalizing financial statements. You should be proactive and reliable and those with prior experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry would be looked upon favorably. Candidates that are professionally qualified will have an advantage.
