The Role


The Role


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the preparation of Financial Statements
• Suggesting, creating and implementing effective and efficient processes and procedures
• Ensuring that systems are in place to safeguard the entities assets
• Ensuring that processes and procedures are properly followed
• Managing the corporations cash flow to maximize benefits
• Audit Liaison

Specific Duties:

• Ensure preparation of timely and accurate Financial Statements on a monthly basis,
• Monthly Financial Statements to include, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement
• Ensure reports are distributed to various management groups per their needs and requirement
• Hold monthly discussions with management to discuss past results,
• Hold monthly discussions with management to discuss future business requirements
• Ensure the accounting department generates departmental accounts for Department managers to monitor and review their performance
• To continually improve and upgrade the quality of financial reporting in line with managements’ and group needs
• Ensuring the reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Ensure that sales are invoiced promptly and that past dues are kept to a minimal
• Evaluate the credit worthiness of potential and existing clients
• Update management regularly on Company's credit exposure
• Print aging Accounts Receivable and discuss late accounts with management
• Ensure that payables are properly recorded and paid promptly
• To educate and train employees to follow company processes, & procedures
• To ensure that internal control systems are followed and implemented.
• To notify Management of any breach or weakness in the system on internal control
• To recommend changes and improvements to the systems, procedures and processes as deemed fit

Other Duties:

• To work with management in addressing new projects, financial issues, banking relationships etc as deemed fit.
• Assist management in other areas when and if required

Requirements


Requirements


• Minimum undergraduate degree in a Finance/Accounting/Business
• Professional Qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CA etc)
• At least 12 years experience in the field of Finance and Accounting
• At least 8 years experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures and the ability to create and implement effective accounting practices
• Experience working within the Construction/Readymix Industry
• GCC experience
