Employment: Full Time

Report to: CEO
Work closely with the Executive Management team

Overview:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial condition of the organization through maximizing return on financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the company’s financial accounting function and conduct internal audits
• Monitor cash flows by ensuring that the money due to the group is collected, and that any expenses are paid
• Provide financial analysis and advice to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the group in business transactions or new acquisitions
• Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the CEO in identifying new funding opportunities
• Prepare financial statements, budget, reports, forecasts, cost analysis reports, profit or loss statement
• Make recommendations for spending or cost cuts and predicting future trends
• Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
• Arrange new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities
• Supervise the accounting team
• Make sure that the financial books are prepared accurately, and that all aspects of the group’s finances are properly documented
• Analyze competitors and market trends
• Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
• Assist company’s external audits in preparing the annual report
• Advise on the proper allocation of resources
• Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
• Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times
• Prepare and review detailed budgets for approval by the governing body
• Make regular reports to the governing body on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets
• Act as cheque signatory for and authorize expenditure up to limits as agreed by the governing body
• Manage the chairman’s personal finances

Requirements

• A fully Qualified Accountant eg. ACCA/ CIMA / ACA with 10 years of experience in the financial sector; UAE experience is a must
• Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations
• Ability to report to senior managers
• Capabilities to supervise, manage and lead staff
• Excellent commercial flair, industry experience and modelling skills
• Experience with managing staff within the Accounts Department
