Job description / Role
Our client, a leading Shipping and Logistics company, is looking for a passionate qualified Financial Controller to join their business in Dubai.
Reporting to the VP of Finance this position will be a challenging and exciting opportunity for a keen young Finance Controller.
Job responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
- Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with the approved external auditor.
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts; and manage cash flow.
Requirements
- CPA/CA qualified.
- Big 4 background preferred.
- 5-6 years' experience
- Logistics background preferred
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
