Job description / Role
Our client is a start up operation in Dubai focusing on administrative services for the financial services sector. They currently seek a Financial Controller to set up and lead the finance function, reporting to a group CFO and investor.
The role of Financial Controller will have direct responsibility for the day to day financial running of the business with responsibilities to include:
- Preparation of management and statutory accounts
- Preparation of KPI reporting on daily / monthly / annual basis
- Development and implementation of financial controls and processes in accordance with the companys strategy
- Development and implementation of financial systems
- Reporting directly to the Board of the company
Cashflow management and producing forecasts
- Budget preparation
Requirements
1. Applicants must be based in the UAE
2. Only Western passport holders will be considered for this position
The successful candidate will ideally have 10+ years experience working as a leader of a finance department or as member of a finance team looking to take the next step in their career. They will be CIMA or equivalent qualified and used to working in an entrepreneurial environment.
Experience of working within an insurance business would be preferred. A strong character who believes in best practice and is accustomed to dealing with senior management is a must.
