Financial Controller - AF Electronics - Bahrain

Al Futtaim Electronics as one of the largest business houses in the Gulf is the sole distributor for many brands such as Panasonic, Toshiba, Aftron, Sanyo in Gulf region. Some of the products range from state-of-the-art notebook computers, mobile ,digital copiers, fax machines, consumer electronics and consumer durable including projections TVs, DVD players and home appliances.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:
* Manage end-to-end the Finance & Commercial roles for Business.
* Maintain integrity of Accounting system (SAP), ensuring it remains effective and operational at all times.
* Introduce internal control and system improvement in various areas.
* Take remedial action or refer to relevant personnel where inconsistencies occur.
* Ensure closing of books in SAP on a monthly basis including the review & updating the GL schedules in coordination with SSF.
* Track and monitor Revenue, AR, and Inventory Daily issue of BI report/ Dashboard for products & sales.
* Monitor and track debtors & collections-to ensure they are consistent with Rebate contracts/approved credit period.
* Monthly settlement of Dubai Customs account of import values.
* Issue a weekly provision forecast report of expected month-end debtors/Inventory provisions & outstanding positions using the as of date positions.
* Track various Claims associated with Principal & corrective actions.
* Execute MAP corrections on system after confirming Claims receivables from Principals.
* Ensure monthly accruals are adjusted to meet demands of the business.
* Analyze business results & provide feedback to Management.
* Coordinate Internal Audit end-to-end and provide necessary information while conducting the audit.
* Provide relevant / regular MIS to support managerial decision making in business.
* Preparation of Yearly budgets and Quarterly Forecast including LTP & preparation of presentation pack for the board.
* Co-ordinate and prepare annual budgets, including operating and capex budgets + BRM packs.
* Ensure any variations to budgets and forecasts are explained in management reports, including any future/ potential exposures to the organisation.

Requirements

To be considered for this role the applicant must have the following prerequisites:

* Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting / MBA - Finance.
* 10 Plus years of Experience in Financial Management and Accounting.
* Experience working with SAP and ERP Financial Software.
* Expert experience working with MS Office - Excel /Word / Power point.
