Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This position is based within the Automotive Division of a large and respected business group in Qatar.

The key purpose of this role is to analyse the business of the Automotive Division in order to provide details related to performance and business development. Ensures compliance with accounting procedures and financial management for the Division by managing the processes of financial control, budget, and business development.

• Coordinate the business plan and budget processes within the division and with the principals of the division.
• Conduct regular analysis of performance and results in relation to plans, forecast and budgets.
• Conduct various ad-hoc studies and analysis.
• Monitor the policies and procedures as carried out in the Division.
• Act as the sole point of communication with principals regarding financial figures, sales volume figures, forecasts and budget.
• Ensure that credit policies are understood and facilitate in debt collection.
• Oversee transactions with regards to timely billing and invoicing.
• Monitor invoicing process, make sure it’s compliance with accounting principle
• Ensure that business and operations are conducted according to the division and company procedures, policies and general values.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial presentations to upper management
• Prepare and validate business case studies as needed

Requirements

To be considered for this role

• You must possess a Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting or Chartered Accountant/CPA
• 6 - 10 years of experience in senior-level finance or accounting position in Automotive Industry
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Controller or Auditor conducting analytical work
• Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, Cost control and cost analysis techniques
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Local government financial regulations, accounting standards and requirements and Company financial policies and procedures
• Computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
• Knowledge of business practices and procedures.
• Familiarity with International Accounting Standards
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
• Skill in developing policy and procedure documentation.
• Ability to plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and modify financial programs, informational support systems, and processes.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and systems support requirements, and provide consultation and recommendations to operational management.
