Employment: Full Time

Financial Controller - Riyadh, KSA

Our client is an international insurance business with a presence across the Middle East, they are currently looking for an experienced Controller to manage a team in their finance function.

As an Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

- Preparing the accounts of the company on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Ensuring timely submission of reports and other financial information requested to by the Group according to the established deadlines
- Previews and analyses management accounts data, preparation of Business Review meetings presentation in coordination with the line Managers
- Preparing annual statutory requirements / audits, liaise with internal and external auditors and assist in preparation of reports
- Ensuring the business is fully compliance with :IAS & IFRS (and updates), KSA accounting standards and group policies, KSA Taxation
- Ensuring that all contracts and business dealings are in accordance with established Company practices and conform to local laws
- Supervising and managing of the Accounts staff, Evaluates performance of Accounts staff and provides coaching and development opportunities as required
- Financial Management of cash flow - including review and preparation of weekly/monthly statements and monitoring excesses / shortages
- Controlling of Accounts Receivable and ensures Senior Management is advised in a timely manner of any issues and required actions to be taken
- Implementing systems and procedures to ensure correctness of accounting information, including procedures to detect and eliminate fraud.
- Ensuring timely Annual Budgeting, Quarterly forecasting, Long Term Planning & preparation of presentation pack for the board in consultation with all stakeholders
- Administration expenses in conjunction with Managers
- Controlling procurement by implementing and ensuring adherence to the Schedule of Authority for expenditure
- Reviewing of Trial Balance, Accounting schedule, bank & vendor reconciliations and checking all control accounts
- Reviewing of contract profitability, productivity

Requirements

- MUST be a native Arabic speaker
- MUST be currently based in the GCC
- MUST have experience working in KSA within the insurance sector
- 8-10 years experience in the financial services sector
- Understanding of KSA regulatory rules
- Strong management skills through experience of managing and training more junior finance staff
