The RoleThe RoleDesign and devise specialized financial systems, processes and procedures in order to effectively manage the company¡¦s financial and accounting needs. Make sure that the accounting policies conform to the general company policies and group accounting policies as well. Come-up with a financial control and regulation system and framework. Set and implement various basic short and long term financial goals for the company. Control any financial activity outside Abu Dhabi of the company as well as develop financial budgets and policies for other offices and Dubai or foreign operations. Become an integral part of and contribute in the planning and budgeting of FLASH. Work with Strategic Planning and other departments in order to develop long term and short term financial targets and business plans. Co-ordinate and oversee year end audits and accounts. Interact with senior management on various financial matters concerning the company. Direct financial policies, budgets and targets. Analyze and monitor various financial aspects of the company on a regular basis. Follows legal, professional, and ethical practices when making decisions and carrying out responsibilities. |
RequirementsRequirementsTechnical and practical skills in financial controlling. Skills in forecasting, budgeting and analysis of variances. Sound and up to date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Experience of managing staff within the Accounts department. Excellent Excel modeling skills. Strong analytical and financial skills. Knowledge and experience of finance related computer applications. Skilled in coordinating flow of information and communication between staff, consultants, senior management, with the ability to effectively manage time and work to meet deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills (including the ability to draft understandable, clear and consistent documents on topics within the areas of responsibility) Ability to analyze and interpret financial information and prepare accurate financial statements. Will have a high degree of integrity and a high sense of personal and professional ethics. Ability to consider and advice on the consequences of various courses of action, including an understanding of the repercussions on other activities. Ability to engender confidence of management and exercise good judgment in handling sensitive information. Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize priorities and meet deadlines. Detailed attention to quality of deliverables. Focus and attention to detail and accuracy Ability to plan and organize work. Strong problem analysis, judgment and problem-solving skills High level of stress tolerance. Qualifications Bachelor¡¦s degree preferably in accounting. Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification |
