Company:
Our client is a leading bank that was established in 1975 and is incorporated in Bahrain as a conventional wholesale bank. Our client provides its services in the GCC countries and internationally, they offer structured financing and advisory services for corporate and institutional customers in various sectors.
They are currently looking to recruit a Financial Institutions Group – AVP to be based in Bahrain
Duties & Responsibilities:
Proactively build new business relationships with financial institutions, assessing counterparties needs and advising on appropriate financial solutions
Expand business opportunities and maximize revenue by deepening relationships with the Bank’s existing portfolio of financial institution customers.
Prepare credit proposals and support credit analyses for the counterparts. This includes analyzing financial statements and related material to prepare written credit analysis of financial institutions. It also includes performing in-depth credit/risk analysis of financial institutions counterparts, credit worthiness and financial condition.
Coordinate with the necessary departments and counterparts to drive the credit process, ensuring timely provision of information during the application, assessment, approval and monitoring phases.
Keep abreast of industry/market developments so as to understand counterparts’ needs and identify new business opportunities.
Undertake any other relevant duties assigned by the Department Head from time to time.
Understands market dynamics and trends that affect the business.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics or other business related field.
Typically requires 5+ years relevant industry experience
Sound knowledge of FI products including Trade Finance, Capital Markets, Lending, Transaction Banking and Financial Markets.
Good organizational and general management skills.
Understanding of the Bank operations, products, policies, regulations and risk management on a regional and international level.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Strong customer orientation.
