Employment: Full Time

Under the general guidance of the Director of Business Planning and Contracts, the position is responsible for providing ongoing financial analysis and modeling to assist senior administrators with monitoring strategic plan objectives while maximizing business performance. In this capacity, the duties will include formulating, defining, testing, and implementing budgets and forecasting financial needs as well as processing, loading, and validating data flowing through the budget information system. This position will have contact with internal and external parties requiring strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

- Prepares and distributes accurate and timely month-end, quarterly, and year-end reports and financial information which may include financial charts, cash flow statement, and budget vs. actual variance analysis as well as performance vs. prior year and trend analysis.
- Reports on budget performance in accordance with College and Qatar Foundation policies and procedures and formatting requirements.
- Manages and undertakes preparation of detailed management reports and variance analysis for operating and capital budgets. Assists the Director in developing reporting formats to meet evolving best practice appropriate to the expansion of College activity.
- Assists in the coordination of responses to internal and other external parties.
- Develops, guides, and prepares the annual budgets (and revisions thereof) for the College and presents results and conclusions to Senior Management. Liaises and works with Unit Management and Budget holders to guide and assist them in identifying the financial considerations of their development plans and where appropriate, incorporates plans into budget requests.
- Supports management with special projects and workflow process improvements and keeps management informed of work progress and improvements.
- Supports strategic planning of future operations including WCMC-Q expansion.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

- 5 or more years of experience in higher education finance and/or audit and budgeting preparation and analysis
- Bachelors degree in Finance or business related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
