Fire System Engineer

Job description / Role

The Engineer will provide technical leadership on multiple systems that bridge a number of skill or
technology areas. As a result of the responsibility of the position the jobholder will be working on the
most complex systems and will be expected to solve these complex problems within an area, site or
project.
At this level the Engineer will be expected to have exceptional technical knowledge in order to
diagnose, problem solve and develop solutions to deep and non-repetitive faults on large complex and
sophisticated, equipment and control systems that bridge more than 1 skill or technology area.
Provide technical leadership, providing advice and guidance to other staff and customers in order to
resolve problems. You would be expected in most cases to be able to work alone.
You must ensure that work completed on site and on the project fully conforms to relevant company,
customer, UAE and legal standards. Acts as a role model for safety, setting positive examples to
peers.
Any other role that is within the Fire Safety Management, or system operation scope that is deemed
necessary.

Requirements

Engineering Degree with Fire and Safety specialisation.

You should be experienced in training on new products as you may be required in the leading
of a team of technicians.
Be able to operate fault find and install a on a variety of fire alarm panels of Conventional,
Addressable, 2 wire and 4 wire fire panels such as but not limited to (Notifier, Gent, Siemens,
Simplex and Kent etc), and be able investigate and resolve False alarm checks, Resistors,
Commending panels, Strip down and change, Battery checks, Load tests, Heat pole tests,
Smoke pole tests and volt checks.
Be able to work on all gaseous suppression systems such as CO2, FM200, Inergen, Argon,
Dry and Wet type Sprinkler systems Hose reels, Wet and Dry risers, Water spray systems,
Foam systems and Wet Chemical suppression systems and Fire fighting pumps.
Undertake PPM and interrogate system software. Be able to produce written reports.
International Driving License is required.
