Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The successful candidate shall be responsible for front line emergency response operations involving fires, hazmat, gas leaks, rescue/extrication, road traffic accidents and other emergency scenarios. The position is also equally responsible for all field fire suppression and fire system maintenance duties, fire prevention duties such as building / facility fire safety inspections, etc. He shall be able to operate Fire Vehicles and all other fire apparatus and also responsible for station maintenance and upkeep of all firefighting equipment.

Requirements

Successful completion of secondary education.
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ extensive experience as a firefighter and shall be an active firefighter / fire technician in a large Industrial Fire Brigade or equivalent for the last 2 years.

Experience in an emergency control center is desirable.

Fulfilled all the requirements of Fire Fighter Foundation equivalent to NFPA Fire Fighter I&II.
Must have a valid heavy-duty driving license.

Applicants’ height should not be less than 175 cm - ideally.

Candidate must be physically fit to be deputed for front line firefighting.

Applicant should have good command over English.

Candidates shall be willing to be posted in Shift cycle as per company shift schedules.

Applicant shall comply to company facial hair policy (clean shaved with no beard).

Applicant should be free from any eye defects and should not have any prescription glasses / corrective eye lenses.
