Job description / Role
Our client are an International Main Contractor that specializes in the fit out of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in the Middle East
They require an Estimator / QS with local work experience for our corporate office in Qatar.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Establish / improve company estimating procedures to tender projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Review incoming tender packages and evaluate Scopes of Work, BOQ, specifications etc.
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities when required.
- Extensive knowledge of quantity surveying for residential / commercial projects.
- Prepare RFQ and RFPs packages for subcontractors / suppliers while effectively communication the scope of work.
- Review quotations and provide analysis.
- Finalize tender packages for submission with managers approval.
Requirements
Other duties include:
- Support Project Management team during project execution as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with a minimum of two years locally.
- Proficient in English (both oral and written).
- Technical knowledge of construction materials and standards, as well as construction practices used in the region.
- Good communication and organization skills are a must.
