Job description / Role

Our client, a leading fit-out firm based in Dubai, is seeking to recruit fit-out professional project engineer to fulfill their requirement in their technical department where they will be working on various projects, both in Dubai & Abu Dhabi area. The company is well known with reputable status in the fit-out market. The company handles high-end projects in the UAE & the GCC region. The projects are ranging from, Hotels, Offices, Luxurious palaces & villas, Banks and Governmental buildings. The job holder needs to handle a project from start-up phase till hand-over, complete the entire life cycle of the project, organize the work and control all projects elements. In addition, controlling staff, project-resources and provide a full technical supervision as well as cost are a key to the role.

Requirements

The ideal candidate:
Reporting to the Project Manager of fit-out installation, the job holder should:
Have bachelor in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural Engineering.
Have at least 8 years of work experience where he was managing projects and coordinate with production accordingly.
Have good knowledge about factory / joinery process.
Have the ability to conduct the right communication between the factory and the project team / requirements.
Have good knowledge about ISO002 Quality System.
Demonstrate ability to develop & review projects proposals and related plan
Demonstrate ability to review bids of the contractors, identify projects phases and allocate resources accordingly.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding in regard to specifications, design, clients requirements, performance standards, technical studies and cost estimates.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge about quality & inspection procedure in order to secure a full compliance with the specification, Standards and contracts.
Demonstrate ability to maintain project schedule by continuously monitor project process as well as resources availability.
Control project schedule, progress, specifications, and changes and recommend actions accordingly.
Control project cost by proper administration to the contractors contracts.
Periodically prepare project status by gathering all related information and recommend actions accordingly.
Maintain safe & clean work environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations as per the Company book and per Authorities requirements.
Maintains project progress data in the system.
Demonstrate team-player who is task-oriented.
