Excellent opportunity to join the Dubai based Fixed Income Team of a leading international investment company. The Fixed Income Research Analyst will be the only member of the research team based in Dubai with the Portfolio Managers. They will act as a conduit between other members of the research team based in other countries and the portfolio management team. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with a strong Fixed Income portfolio management team and the Head of Asset Management which will mean the contribution you make will be highly visible. This position offers excellent opportunity for career progression.
Responsibilities:
•The primary focus of this position would be to develop the Credit Research capabilities in the corporate and Islamic bond market in the MENA and SEA regions.
•Responsible for conducting independent research, making buys, sell and hold recommendations and presenting these to the fixed income Portfolio Management team.
•Take responsibility for Managing the credit rating and score card modules
•Work with team of analysts from other countries who will assist in producing credit reports.
•Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial models.
•Act as a point of contact for external research providers and ensure the integrity of supplied data, maintaining a database of reports.
•Respond to client queries and maintain and update presentations materials.
Requirements
•You should be a CFA Charter holder or hold a relevant postgraduate qualification such as a Masters in Investment Management, MBA with a specialism in Finance.
•You will ideally currently be working in a role focusing on MENA Fixed Income, Bonds, Sukuk’s
•3+ years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably in credit research, macro-economic research or actuarial sciences.
•Strong knowledge of market dynamics and industry trends.
•Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research concepts and tools, particularly bond mathematics.
•Strong computer skills, with advanced excel being essential.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and preferably Arabic) with proven experience in producing technical reports for both internal and external publication.
•A team player with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity.
•Proven experience of delivering high quality output whilst working to strict deadlines.
