International Shipyard Operator
Tax Free Salary package up to US$98k + family medical & tickets
Based in Dubai, UAE

Challenging opportunities now exist with a major shipyard operator. They are currently seeking to hire Fixed Plant Maintenance Manager to manage the development and implementation of a company wide Asset Management System.

Only candidates who meet the minimum requirements below will be considered.

Responsibilities

• To develop and implement an Asset management system for all company assets in line with PAS 55 and ensure alignment with our present OHSAS 18001 Safety management and ISO 9001 Quality management systems.
• Interact with all maintenance departments to ensure pro-active maintenance planning with production control, develop maintenance strategies, and provide single point of contact for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
• Interact with Production to ensure optimum asset availability, service level agreements, downtime costings, and minimizing external equipment hire.
• Interact with Purchasing department to improve supply chain management, recommendations for strategic and slow moving parts, identification of spares cost profile throughout asset life cycle, and co-ordinate asset procurement either as replacement or new.
• Interact with Finance division on asset management system from purchase to disposal of company assets.
• Interact with Accounts department to create annual budgets for all company assets and provide the tools necessary to end users for cost control and monitoring.
• Interact with OHSE to ensure asset risk profiling, third party certification, and compliance with local regulations.
• Interact with Quality to ensure FMECA records are upheld and adequate quality tools are implemented to repetitive failures and high costs are avoided.
• Implement and monitor OH&S, Environment and Quality Management System.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Engineering qualification from a recognized college, university or training institution, preferably having included theoretical and practical skills.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar field, five of which should have been in a managerial or organizational capacity.
