The Role


The Role


Work to optimize invoice, purchase order and reconciliation processes; ensure timely invoice processing, in addition to monitoring, recording and reporting performance of all Company chartered LNG vessels.

Key Tasks
• Responsible for coordinating with the Operations Fleet Coordination group to capture, record and report all required voyage data for Company chartered LNG vessels.
• Coordinate timely processing of port costs, charter hire invoices, bunker and insurance invoices including close liaison with and issuance of payment instructions to Company Finance Department
• Reconciles and endorses payment of voyage related invoices such as port, canal and agent costs, DD costs, spot chartering and ship pooling
• Ensure the maintenance of key records of all financial transactions under the Shipping Department’s responsibility
• Assist in the development of key presentation associated with Shipping, including, but not limited to Excom or QPR presentations
• Provide financial information and material for analysis and studies as required
• Maintain TOFA and recommend/process amendments as may be required
• Maintain Suez Canal vessel incentive file and report as required
• Look for initiatives that could improve shipping financial efficiencies
• Other duties as assigned by Management

• Bachelor (4-year university) degree; preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, or shipping related discipline
• Minimum 2-years experience in shipping related field with understanding of shipping terminology and fundamentals such as standard voyage calculations and associated economics
• Experience with vessel charters, voyage and term; preferably LNG carriers
• Prior use and knowledge of standard industry sources of information such as IMO, OCIMF, SIGTTO, Dataloy, Clarkson’s and Lloyd’s
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English• Strong analytical skills and experience in use of Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience in setting and monitoring key performance indices; metrics
• Self motivated and ability to work well under time pressures with little supervision
• Ability to work well within and lead a diverse team
• Prior sailing experience is a plus, but not required
