DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Heads plan, direct and coordinate the Transportation department within the Transport &
Equipment Services Division (T & ESD).
•Monitor and ensure fleet operation in compliance with Kingdom, local and client! Aramco rules & regulations.
•Provide direction to departmental staff ensuring an effective, sufficient and successful vehicle fleet operation.
•Ensure that all direct reporting staff has all the skills, knowledge and supervisor abilities guaranteeing a successful organizational fleet operation.
•Conduct regular performance reviews/ discussions of all direct reporting staff.
•Review, Amend, Design all required Fleet Management policies, processes and procedures for the organization.
•Develops and maintains efficient departmental performance standards, procedures and
Policies.
•Research new possibilities for a more cost effective and efficient fleet operation for the organization.
•Plan and prepare an annual budget.
•Maintains and Control daily/ monthly departmental cost/ expenditure meeting all organizational and departmental financial objectives.
•Reconcile monthly actual cost/ expenditure versus budget forecast and compile the necessary variance reports where necessary.
•Implement effective asset control mechanisms ensuring updated vehicle locations at all times.
•Maintains an updated asset register of light- and heavy vehicles.
•Establish and maintains professional business relationships with all supplier clients.
•Ensure Vehicle Fleet availability to meet all organizational needs.
•Develop and Implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices within industry and the rest of the organization.
•Assures effective deployment, dispatching of the entire MMG Fleet of vehicles, complying to all organization policies, processes and procedures.
•Recommends vehicles meant for replacement and arranges for necessary disposal or auction.
•Directs repair, service and maintenance of organization vehicles.
•Develops and supervises vehicle preventive maintenance schemes.
•Reviews periodic repair procedures to ensure completeness, accuracy and efficiency.
•Assures accuracy of parts inventories.
•Ensure and encourage proper vehicle accident investigations, negotiates for any possible settlements and authorizes any repairs or maintenance of vehicles.
•Compile all daily, weekly, monthly departmental reports/ cost analysis required.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from a Registered Academic institution.
•5-7 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
•At least 3 -4 years relevant experience in fleet operations, repairs and maintenance of vehicles.

SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

•A valid driving license recognized through the Traffic Laws for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
•Arabic Speaking.
•English proficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

•Knowledge of an automated Fleet Management Information system.
•Work experience as a successful Fleet Manager.
•Strong leadership and management ability.
•Excellent supervision of all workflow procedures.
•Very good administration and should have proper and referenced knowledge about Vehicle
Fleet operations.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external clients.
•Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled employees engaged within the organizational vehicle fleet operation.
•Prepare written reports.
•Maintain accurate records
•Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
•Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel
•SAP (Equipment & Logistics Module)
