Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Fleet Services Coordinator to their UAE team. Looking to expand their ranks and with long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to welcome a professional and experienced Fleet Services Coordinator for their multi-billion dollar infrastructure project. This role is responsible for performing routine tasks and serves as the main service contact for the transportation manager. This role monitors and checks transportation mileage, status of vehicles and condition; notes and reports deficiencies and issues when vehicles are issued and returned and performs daily checks of simple vehicle maintenance such as checking oil, coolant, filter etc. This is a 24/7 operation and may be required to work a varied schedule that includes the ability to drive.

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this role is responsible for the following:

• Opens or closes the fleet facility for business each day
• Coordinates maintenance activities of all transportation requirements
• Ensures adequate service for vehicles on all shifts
• Responsible for notifying dispatchers of units out of service
• Coordinates the emergency maintenance of vehicles as required for operations
• Provides direct contact to the drivers and dispatches transportation assignments
• Note condition and usage of vehicles being signed out and in and note any new damage
• Collect mileage on a weekly basis and forward to transportation manager those vehicles needing service
• Enters all requests for transport into A1 transport program
• Utilizes on line booking system and GPS to identify closest available vehicle to assist crews in fast, courteous and prompt service
• Maintains log and record of activities as related to each division and ensures vehicle sign out logs are up to date
• Answers transportation phones and provides customer friendly service while taking transport requests
• Works with fleet services to ensure vehicle issues are addressed & vehicles are available for assignment
• Works with manager on daily and weekly planning of resources
• Track and route problems, requests and document resolutions
• Prepare activity reports

Requirements

The attributes we seek for this pivotal role include:

• Minimum equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and experience of relevant customer service or operations experience.
• Requires comprehensive knowledge of the operations and systems characteristics of automobiles and light trucks
• Requires the ability to plan and organize the work of skilled mechanics and semi-skilled service workers
• Must have a minimum of 3 years fleet services experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with excellent communication skills in a high-energy setting
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Strong data entry and computer skills, must be able to use computer to generate reports including excel and database reports
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
