The RoleThe RoleAl-Futtaim Logistics is a leading Supply Chain Management company in Dubai, UAE, with our major shareholder being one of the largest business houses in the lower Gulf region. Al-Futtaim logistics, started as a small warehouse for Al-Futtaim products about 25 years ago, and has developed over the years into one of the largest logistics service providers in the UAE. We have nearly 500 people on our diverse team from 20 different countries. We offer superior pan-Arab supply chain management solutions including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding as well as IT solutions and Supply Chain Design and Consulting. The company has an international network of offices and agents for overseas freight and warehousing and distribution centers in all major UAE cities and ports. We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Manager to be based in our Dubai operation. The purpose of this role is to oversee the managment and maintenance of all fleet, mechanical assets and facilities including the review of costs, utilisation and mix of fleet. You will focus upon implementing measures to improve the type of assets purcahsed, the cost of maintaining the assets and reducing idle time of fleet. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe succesful candidate must have at least 4 years experience in a Managerial position overseeing a large Fleet operation. You will be educated to degree level in a Mechanical or Technical discipline and must have a proven successful background in Logistics. You will have managed a large team of direct reports, must have experience in the UAE and will be a business focused, people manager. Excellent English verbal and oral communication skills are essential. |
