1. JOB PURPOSE

To manage fleet and equipment and workshops

2. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES & OBJECTIVES (MAXIMUM OF 10): What duties are required for the position to exist? Estimate the percentage of time required for each

Planning Overseeing the fleet and equipment planning to ensure the company has the best in class fleet and equipment to support the company's operations. Planning refers to both replacement and new fleet and equipment.

Workshop/Maintenance Managing and ensuring a comprehensive workplan covering cleanliness, maintenance, installation and repair program for the company's fleet and equipment; Manage both on site and satellite workshops across the company's operating areas. Manages and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures.

Fleet and equipment availability To ensure the company's fleet and equipment availability KPI's are achieved.

Administrative Manages and participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs including all fleet and equipment training programs.

HSE Compliance with all HSE protocols; making recommendations to improve HSE procedures where required

HR Oversees the personnel needs, including selecting, coaching, disciplining , training and promotion of employees and evaluating employees performance.

Financials Continually focuses on achieving budgetary control through effective management of all fleet and workshop activities

3. OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities / important duties performed occasionally or in addition to the essential duties
Timely generation of management reports
Any other related duties as required from time to time

Requirements

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/ TRAINING/ QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education/Experience:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years working experience, of which a minimum of 5 years should be in waste management and recycling.
Managing both onsite and remote site workshops
Managing more than 700 fleet and equipment pieces ranging from cars to compactors to walking trailers to excavators to generator sets

B. Specific knowledge:
Waste management and recycling domain knowledge preferred
Experienced in managing multicultural teams

C. Business understanding:
Posses understanding of supporting function for business operations

D. Ability/Skills:
Language Skills: Full ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports in English. Arabic language is an added advantage.
Hands on/ leadership by example
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong client relationship development skills
