Job description / Role
A Privately owned airline base in Qatar is looking for a Flight Security Officer (Temporary). Job holder will be responsible to prevent unlawful interference of company aircraft both at their home base and at any other location world-wide. Ensure the safety and expeditious loading of VIP baggage and cargo, in accordance with the approved aircraft loading system.
Other responsibility includes:
• Ensures the safe handling and passage of any firearm and ammunition carried by, or accompanying passengers, with particular regard to the requirements of foreign authorities.
• Supervise the handling, Security checking and loading of baggage and freight in accordance with approved Weight and Balance procedures, and the approved aircraft loading system.
• Liaison/ monitor other departments on security matters.
• Under supervision assist in the auditing of Airports and Maintenance checks with regards to security.
• Monitor all Security concerning third party contractual services and recommend security improvements where necessary.
Requirements
The candidate should have an Army or Police Academic Qualification with general knowledge in aviation.
Training certification in Dangerous Goods, Weight and Balance will be a great advantage.
Contract duration: 1 year temporary contract
