Food Solutions General Manager - Oman

An International Food Manufacturing company is seeking to recruit for a Food Solutions General Manager for their successful Food Solutions Division MENA/India. You will be directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This position will be based in Sohar, Oman

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
This role will have overall responsibility for leading and growing Food Solutions and ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of the Companys strategic goals for this sector, and will be fully accountable for the P & L for Food Solutions.

- Provide leadership and support to the Head of Sales and his team to increase brand awareness in our chosen categories, drive sales growth with our existing key accounts, and attain new sales in new and existing markets and geographical areas.
- Provide leadership and support to the Factory Manager and his team to ensure high quality products are manufactured and delivered in a safe, hygienic, efficient manner to our customers, and that we have world class efficiencies, food safety, quality and hygiene standards. In addition this role will be responsible for developing a supportive team working safety first culture, where skills and performance increase year on year, a talent pool is developed, and employees are engaged. This is a senior leadership position and the role holder will be expected to be an example, coach, support, and lead their direct reports and wider teams, and offer input and appropriate challenges to other parts of the business.

REPORTING AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
- This role will report directly into the CEO.
- The Head of Sales and the Factory Manager, together with the Head of Finance and Administration, will report to this role.
- This role will indirectly lead and manage several diverse teams and a large number of indirect reports which will range between 140 and 200.

Financial Responsibility:
- The achievement of circa 40 million USD Sales
- Revenue budgets for the factory circa 4 million USD

Travel Requirements:
This role will be based in Sohar/Mumbai, but the job holder will be required to travel regularly to the Companys other offices and sites and to meet customers, which will include regular international travel, predominantly within the MENA/Indian region but will include travel to other places in the world.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
- Substantial leadership experience gained in a food solutions business.
- Previous experience of successfully managing key account franchisees, preferably global QSRs and distributor relationships.
- Previous experience of driving sales growth and brand awareness and achieving stretching targets in the MENA/India region.
- Proven abilities and experience of having managed a full P & L.
- Experience of leading and managing large teams, and preferably that involve sales and supply chain teams.
- Previous experience of developing a learning culture, developing managers and improving the organisations resources and capabilities.
- Previous experience of having lived and worked in the ME would be an advantage.
- Professionally qualified with a vocational qualification in marketing, category management, business, finance or food science or engineering.
- Be a graduate, preferably in business or managements studies.

- The ability to speak Arabic would be an advantage.
