Under general supervision, assists in directing and controlling personnel involved in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment including diesel engines, heavy trucks, pumping equipment and other oil field related equipment. Maintains, diagnoses and repairs a variety of equipment including; diesel engines, transmissions, drive train components, winches, high pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, sand conveyor systems, air compressors, micro processor controls, electro-mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mobile/overhead cranes, wellhead attachments and pressure equipment, gearboxes, PTO's, generators, chemical metering systems, 12/24v electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, rims, tires and wheels, forklifts, A/C systems, and a variety of other energy services equipment. Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Recognized expert in maintenance processes, procedures and functions. Provides job training and guidance on a regular basis; performs work of same or closely allied nature. Skills are typically acquired through possession of a Technical certificate and 10 years experience in related fields.

Requirements

Responsible for ensuring the duties in area of responsibility are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
- Implement programs to ensure safety within the Equipment Maintenance group.
- Implement programs to ensure Service Quality and equipment reliability and administers policies.
- Implement and/or maintain processes and measures to insure the accuracy of SAP data.
- Supervises others, co-ordinates diverse activities within a functional area.
- Schedules equipment to be serviced and/or maintained.
- Plans work and coordinates the activities involved in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment
- Assigns work to subordinate personnel.
- Provides instruction and guidance to less experienced maintenance personnel.
- Job role contributes directly to value creation
- Skills are typically acquired through possession of a Technical School certificate and 10 years of experience in related fields and management experience.
- Experience in negotiating skills, business financial training, management training, PPR, diversity training and HR related training.
