Our client, a leading banking group in the region, is seeking to recruit a Fraud Investigator-Group Fraud Prevention and Investigations Unit. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Fraud Prevention and Investigation

Job Purpose:
To assist the Manager/Head Fraud Prevention and Investigations in the area of fraud prevention; and conduct investigations of known or suspect criminal acts perpetrated against the Banks Group. To assist in the development and implementation of fraud prevention programmes.

Main Task:

- Propose and have accepted a plan for assessing fraud risk in all business areas.

- Propose and maintain initiatives of fraud awareness and prevention across the Company.

- Assist with investigations of fraud events and fraud prevention review across the Company.

- Identify and submit reports on possible operational weaknesses and fraud risk identified during fraud analysis and investigations.

- Prepare and submit comprehensive fraud analysis and investigation report to the unit head.

- Research, analyze and recommend measure to reduce fraud related risk to which business activities are exposed.

- The maintenance of methodology that provides efficient FP & IS services at best practice levels.

- Assist in the development of comprehensive policies and procedures to support FP & I programmes.

- Extract, analyze and review data from various sources related to fraud detection.

- Propose, design and introduce/best practice standards to all work undertaken.

- Maintain processes related to application software to support FP & IS work.

- Assist in develop approaches to better identify fraud risk in review work undertaken.

- Participate and undertake initiatives related to fraud awareness programmes, fraud awareness & ethics training, undertaking fraud prevention reviews and ad hoc investigations.

- Maintain effective working relationships at all levels and with all areas of the group, particularly BI&I ITN, GROUP COMP, HR, Card Fraud team and Internal Audit.

- Participate in the creation of a fraud prevention and ownership culture across the Company.

- Assist OP Risk team in departmental initiative to identify and prevent operating losses arising through fraud.

Requirements

To be considered for this position the below criteria are required.

Education
- Relevant professional qualification with a background in investigating financial/corporate frauds with preferable exposure to banking and financial services.

- Minimum of 3 years experience in financial services or a forensic accounting or financial audits or similar environment performing financial/corporate fraud investigations.

- Knowledge and Skills.

- High level of investigatory experience.

- Superior communications and report writing skills.

- Ability to work independently-self motivated.

- Strong decision making skills, sound judgment and analytical skills.

- Exposure to legal and law enforcement.
