Fund Accountant

Job description / Role

Our client is one of the most recognised Fund Services companies in the Region. Due to exceptional growth within their equities business, they are now looking to hire a Fund Accountant to support this area.

- Responsible for weekly NAV reconciliation between general ledger system, internal operations, brokers/custodians and external administrators and other managed accounts
- Review and analyse daily/monthly financials
- Assist with various reporting requests
- Prepare daily/monthly journal entries
- Provide assistance in all audit and tax requirements
- Assist with projects necessary to implement more efficient and timely reporting functions

Requirements

- 3+ years of fund accounting experience in a Hedge Fund, Hedge Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge.
- Familiar with various methods for the calculation of incentive and management fees.
- Good communication skills - Discussions with clients, custodians and prime brokers to resolve trading, operational and accounting issues.
- Financial Statement Preparation experience is a plus
- CFA Qualification a plus
