Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Technical Manager Ensure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good practice, validate processes, provide documentation and train new personnel. Also ensure company meets customer expectations and legal compliance

Supplier
- Evaluation and sign off of all proposed new suppliers including factory visit
- Development and implementation of Technical and Ethical Audit process
- Development and implementation of Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for underperforming suppliers
- Point of contact for all supplier correspondence for Technical related queries
- Management of supplier claims process

Process
- Define the HC quality procedure in conjunction with Buyers and Designers
- Devise and establish Furniture quality procedures, standards and specifications and enforce these policies and procedures to include the following:
- Instruction Manuals develop standard format and approval process
- Packaging Specification develop standard guidelines and approval process
- Spares / Missing Parts develop and maintain an easy access spares process for stores and customers
- Product Withdrawals / Recalls - develop standard guidelines and implementation process
- Furniture Warranty manage process, product evaluations, internal / external team to deliver.
- Manage the process of any injury / claims caused to colleagues or customers through faulty product
- Validate quality processes and establish product specifications (as above) and quality attributes; measure production, document evidence, determine operational and performance qualification for suppliers.
- Collate and maintain a library of all required test reports
- Collate and maintain a library of product technical specification Inc. materials / chemicals
- Sharing of best practices across the supply base and buying teams to drive product improvements
- Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits of suppliers.
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
- Meet QA financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Requirements

- Minimum 9 years experience with Furniture only
- Western expats preferred

Team
- Recruit, select, train, coach and counsel team members
