GIS Administrator/Developer

Job description / Role

My client is a leading European engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation and a track record in the Middle East spanning over 30 years. They have recently been appointed and Planning and Integration Consultant for the Qatar Planning Office and need to recruit a GIS Administrator/Developer due to the increase in work load. The role will be to provide day to day support for the GIS enterprise platform and working with the GIS manager and analytical team to maintain the SDE database. You will also be involved in software configuration and development and working along side the information manager to ensure that the requirements for the system are met.

Requirements

Candidates must have a degree or equivalent in a related field to GIS and must have a proven track record in GIS Administration and development for major companies, preferably in the Middle East. Candidates must have excellent written and spoken English skills and must have worked in multi discipline, client focused and project environments. Candidates should have the following expertise;-

- NET Windows and web application development;
- Competency using Visual Studio IDE.
- Expertise in web design and associated documentation;
- Administration and configuration of ArcGIS Server 10.
- Knowledge of multi-tier server environments.
- Administration and configuration of ArcSDE.
- Knowledge of SQL server 2008.
