Employment: Full Time

My client are a government organization in Oman who are growing rapidly and building on their already solid history in the Sultanate.

They are looking for a GM Business Development & Customer Service to lead and direct the company Business Development & Customer Service Division by formulating strategies and managing execution for increasing sales, visibility and customer service for services as well as sales.

The GM Business Development & Customer Service will be responsible for providing overall strategic direction to the Business Development and Customer Service Division and driving business results.

Key responsibilities of the GM Business Development & Customer Service will include:
- Setting the business direction and vision for the organization by articulating the strategic priorities for the organization and identifying enablers for success in the long term
- Defining the strategic priorities for the BD & Customer Service Division in a manner that aligns with the company goals and objectives
- Leading the formulation as well as subsequent review of the BD & Customer Service division policies and procedures at the organization, in line with industry benchmarks and best practices
- Overseeing and ensuring that all customer requirements are addressed in an effective manner in line with agreed standards and timelines
- Overseeing sales of company products whilst formulating budgets and articulating strategic plans to meet the sales targets
- Analysing potential customers and generating leads by generating new opportunities for the organization
- Ensuring that the division is effectively conferring with customers by telephone or field visits in order to provide information about products and services, to take orders or cancel accounts or to obtain details of complaints
- Overseeing accurate record keeping of all customer interactions including details of enquiries, complaints and comments, as well as actions taken to resolve/address the enquiry
- Directing the development and implementation of the standards and service qualities to maintain the customer service standards adopted by the organization
- Guiding the annual marketing plan which details activities to follow during the fiscal year
- Developing marketing initiatives towards frequent, timely and positive media coverage for the company products and services across all relevant media channels

Requirements

- A Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Sales and Marketing
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in senior leadership roles in sales and marketing management

Due to Omani Nationalisation guidelines and visa processes, Omani nationals will be preferred at this stage.
