This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a creative and passionate team who share a love for art. We are launching a well-established European brand to the UAE in the next few months. They focus on luxury and up-market photography in limited edition signed runs. This makes the art not only special to see and own but also a financial investment to own. They target B2B and B2C and needs a strong and talented Gallery Director to lead the team.
Budget responsibility:
• Planning, analysis and realization of individual sales and gallery turnover in agreement with headquarter
• Individual consulting of and sale to B2C as well as B2B clients, sale of inventories and online products
• Proactive identification and utilization of new sales potentials
• Competitor analysis and monitoring
. Personnel responsibility:
• Staff planning with regard to turnover and current demands
• Leadership, motivation and coaching of employees in accordance with brand concept
Visual merchandising:
• Presentation of works, the brand and the gallery according to Corporate Identity standards
• Responsibility of an appealing showroom presentation
• Sales-oriented hanging of Top25/ Bestseller works
• Ensure regular change of hanging and window display
• Presentation of the gallery in a clean and neat condition
• Assign external suppliers for object-related works
Organization of events:
• Preparation, organization and realization of curated exhibitions with or without artists
• Autonomous planning and realization of further events like openings, private views and VIP events
Administration:
• Generation and maintenance of statistics and reports
• Verification and transfer of time tracking for all team members
• Generation of standard contracts and certificates for interns
• Creation of hanging concepts and appropriate presentations for key accounts
• Process returns and complaints
• Guarantees up to date (POS) materials
• Ordering of office and household supplies
• Organization and effective management of resources
Inventory Management:
• Planning and monitoring of inventory with regards to quality and quantity (bestseller, age of art works, marketed portfolio, etc.)
• Timely ordering of art works , planning and execution of inventory

Requirements

In order to be considered for this role we need someone with entrepreneurial spirit, creative and who understands luxury. You should come either from an Art background or from luxury retail or interiors. You must have solid experience in developing client databases B2B and B2C. You need to have a hands on approach and happy to manage the operational issues of the gallery as well as the creative integrity and sales. Candidates will ideally have at least 1 years GCC experience, excellent communication skills and highly organized. Arabic speaking is not a must but would be an advantage. All candidates must be willing to work the Gallery hours and lead the events which will me extra hours as a manager. Your image should be elective of the product, stylish, individual, chic. We are looking for someone who understands about “key pieces”.
