Job description / Role

General Accountant - MENA

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Ensure proper support to all departments
- Record all GL Transactions.
- Maintain, develop, and update the chart of account.
- Maintain master data (material and pieces)
- Maintain invoice against GR.
- Ensure proper classification to respective accounts.
- Clearing of accounts.
- Ensure accruals are booked
- Maintain bank accounts
- Maintain & record fixed assets.
- Prepare period closed check list.
- Coordinate and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Post revaluation at the month-end
- Prepare TB to be used to load the legal files to Cognos.
- Prepare management file to be loaded to Cognos
- Reconcile Cognos figures
- Provide variance explanation to accounts
- Prepare weekly sales report (Iraq & Qatar market)
- Review forecast figures
- Master Data centralization for all units using SAP

Requirements

- Review disclosures and prepare files for review of the FM and top management prior submission.
- BSC / Diploma in accounting
- Excel Functions
- SAP experience is essential
- FMCG experience
- Cognos
- Detailed, Organised and accurate
