Job description / Role
* Records and prepares daily entries for all suppliers invoices, keeping and following up the debts and credits accounts on a monthly basis
* Verifies and calculates all purchasing invoices and submits cash at suppliers accounts and conducting fixed assets verification.
* Follows up with department/clients regarding issues related to financial and accounting practices, agreements and procedures.
* Helps in accounts payables and accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting with the senior accountants
* Supports weekly and monthly financial closing activities and ensuring deadlines are met with compliance to all statutory requirements.
* Prepares monthly bank reconciliation
Requirements
* Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance.
* Professional Accounting qualifications are added advantage for this role.
* 4 years experience in accounting, preferably working in Iraq or other hardship countries.
* Knowledge of preparing accurate reports in a timely fashion and analyze financial data.
* Fluent written & spoken Arabic & English languages.
* Good understanding of IFRS.
* Understanding of Iraqi Unified Accounting System, Iraq Tax/Social Security and Iraq Port Authority laws are preferred.
