The RoleThe RoleShared Services Finance is a department under Group Finance handling the entire back office related to accounting and auditing for Dubai Festival City, Electronics, Engineering & Technologies and the Head Office Companies. SSF handles Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger Accounting, Bank Reconciliations, monthly and annual closing and audits for the above mentioned groups. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced General Ledger Accountant to be based in our Dubai office. In this role you will be responsible for: Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily basis Preparation of Journal Entries Reconciling various GL accounts, preparing 'action-triggering' schedules Review of Trial balance and preparation of reports that would enable analysis of the accounts Provide support on month-end & yearend closing activities Analysis of expense accounts Handling Insurance related matters in relation to renewals, declarations Handling annual audit and book closure |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be successful in winning this role, you must have the following skills, experiences and qualifications: Graduate degree preferably in Commerce or Accounting. Candidates with further specialised accounting qualifications/certifications will be preferred - those part qualified will be given priority. At least 2 years of experience in Accounting. Previous experience and knowledge of ERP systems Experience of working within a large organisation It is essential that you have an excellent command of the English language both written and spoken and be able to work within a team environment. You must have good IT skills and preferably be competent with SAP as this package is currently used by all Al Futtaim companies within the group. |
