General Manager - Al Futtaim Electronics

Job description / Role

Al Futtaim Electronics as one of the largest business houses in the Gulf is the sole distributor for many brands such as Toshiba, Aftron, Sanyo in Gulf region. Some of the products range from state-of-the-art notebook computers, mobile, digital copiers, fax machines, consumer electronics and consumer durables including projections TVs, DVD players and home appliances.

The General Manager will be responsible for achieving the most profitable operation and growth of the AFTRON brand by meeting or exceeding budgeted sales volumes, gross margins and the business objectives, through the effective management of budgeted resources.

The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Strategically planning, budgeting and developing mass distribution activities.
- Monitoring and expanding dealer network to achieve to surpass budget.
- Achieving Turnover, profit, return on investment and market share targets.
- Marketing and monitor parallel imports brands.
- Promoting the image, concept and products of brands in the territory through on-going Market intelligence and research.
- Maintaining a professional relationship with Principles.

Requirements

- A University degree.
- A post-graduate in marketing or international business would be an asset.
- 10 plus years experience in Business Development, Sales and Marketing.
- 4 plus years in Sr. Manager or Head of Business role in Sales management & new business development of consumer electronics.
