General Manager – Architecture

Job description / Role

The Company is an international, dynamic, full-service design consulting firm. The firm has expanded over the past 20 years to offer a full range of expertise in all areas of Architecture, Engineering, Planning, and Interior Design.

The General Manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the senior management team will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the business.

1. Leadership Management

• Responsible for overall performance of the organization.
• Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the CEO and staff with the development of long range and annual planswith the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
• Identify new business opportunities and ways to enlarge present scope of works.
• Oversees preparation of Annual Report summarizing progress on short and long range plans.
• Research and analysis of documents and proposals as needed to assist the organization in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.
• Must be a result oriented with proven experience in developing operational plans, financial plans, business plans, and budgets for managing facility performance.
• Ensure efficiency in every aspect of the operations.
• Ensure compliance to Company and Group policies & practices and Government regulations in all facility activities and transactions.

2. Project & Financial Management:

• Coordination with major clients, contractors, team of the engineers from inception to project execution.
• Liaise with Project Managers to for proper execution of projects.
• Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Provide vision regarding overall financial health of the company.
• Review the Financial performance reports before submitting to CEO

3.Personal Attitudes

• Good Leadership Skills.
• A beneficial understanding of different cultures.
• Constructive communication skills
• Understanding of the rules, regulations of the business environments.
• Willingness to travel and work from remote locations

Requirements

* Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Masters or Doctoral and degree in Management is an advantage.
* Should ideally have more than 15 years of experience having worked at various levels within organizations in the industry/architectural field,and at least 10 years commercial management in an architectural or design environment and have proven track record of senior, strategic leadership and team management and addition to strong financial acumen.
* With knowledge of Civil+ MEP engineering is preferred.
