General Manager - Branded (sales)

Job description / Role

- Responsible for working with the marketing team and inspiring the sales team to deliver tangible growth in market share and brand awareness.
- Responsible for ensuring our profitable sales and accounts grow year on year.
- Grow sales volumes and market share of products the company is aspiring to develop, and attains country and market sector sales targets.
- Responsible for ensuring the sales and manufacturing teams focus their efforts and resources to producing and selling our branded products, and those products that are of strategic high importance.
- Tailors the teams targets and activities to support the development of our brands.
- Responsible for ensuring the Head of Sales sets stretching but deliverable sales targets for the team that are in line with the Companys strategy, and motivates and manages the sales team to achieve these targets.
- Monitoring the balance between margin and cost for pushing the sales (below the line activities)

Requirements

- The successful candidate will have experience of leading and managing large supply chain and manufacturing teams.
- Previous experience of enhancing employees performance and skills, and developing managers and new leaders in both sales and supply chain environments.
- Experience of world class manufacturing techniques and standards.
- Experience of managing multicultural and functional teams, and preferably having worked in a GCC or Asian location.
- Proven experience of improving manufacturing practices and supply chain activity through focused actions and continuous improvement techniques.
- Proven abilities and experience of having managed a full P & L and achieving profitable sales growth and cost reductions in an FMCG branded business.
