The RoleThe RoleGeneral Manager, Jordan Business Unit Overlooking all administrative and technical matters of the Business Unit, including Head Office and Plant, (Total of around 300 employees), functions include; Finance, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Public Relations, Information Technology, Procurement, and the plant. Part of the Cement Holding Operations Committee, with all functions of the Business Unit reporting to Candidate. The Jordan Unit will have Finance, HR, Purchasing, Sales and IT departments. The Plant manager will be reporting to the GM. 1-Establish or Supervise establishing Policies and Procedures 2-Supervise ERP implementation project 3-Ensure project is in progress as per timeline 4-Ensure key positions are filled by qualified personnel 5-Ensure all financial statements of the company are accurate 6-Adequately represent the company in the local community 7-Ensure sales is as per target and the company is obtaining its market share |
RequirementsRequirementsGender: Male Nationality: Jordanian Age range: 8 – 50 Language skills: English & Arabic Qualification: Min BS Computer skills: Windows, Oracle would be a + Years experience: 5 years experience as GM in Cement as a priority, followed by Industrial. Needs to be a private sector international organization. Essential Experience: •Skillful human resources management •The ability to operate a process industry •The ability to commission projects and follow up on them •The ability to operate in a complex capital intensive organisation •Someone who is culturally sensitive and able to operate in different environments •Someone who is capable of managing, motivating and developing the workforce •Someone who has a technical understanding of the process, the product and the commercial skills to enable effective decision making and bottom line requirements [will not apply if professional from a different industry] •Success story in managing multinational organization •Someone who is able to tactfully yet firmly handle the local community and the politico cultural implications of the business as a major industry of a commodity.
