Job description / Role
Our client is a leading fashion retail company representing some of the most popular, developing and diverse brands within fashion and retail. The organization covers wholesale and retail trading across international brands including clothing, handbags and accessories.
They are an expanding and developing company moving into new areas and into new locations across the Middle East. We are currently looking for an experienced General Manager to manage strategies and head up the entire business.
The right person for this role will have previous experience in start ups, launches, growing companies and should be a dynamic and pro active leader, who understands how to manage effective e-commerce side of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity with the support and security that comes from this well respected and well funded group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full P&L and operational and commercial responsibility for the business and all brands throughout the Middle East with planned expansions through fashion boutiques in New York and London in the near future.
- Team recruitment, budgeting and forecasting, negotiating strategic alliances
- Driving E-commerce aspects of the business and defining e-marketing campaigns
- Manage supporting functions in UK/US including HR & Admin, Area and Brand Managers and Operations team
- Develop the retail design strategy for new store openings and renovations across the GCC
Requirements
- Experience in luxury fashion industry
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in a relevant field
- Must have experience in managing, developing and growing a team
- Experience of working in Europe is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, additional language will be the advantage
- Must possess a passion for luxury retail and appreciation of e-commerce
Travel abroad and within the GCC required.
