Our client, is an SME business with a presence in the Middle East. Due to rapid growth they now seek to expand into the Saudi Arabia marketplace. The business line is in providing professional services to primarily multinational corporations setup or setting up in Saudi, who are hiring a high influx of expatriate staff, particularly at the engineering and senior management levels. This is in response to contract offers from the Saudi government and the construction and infrastructure boom in the country expected to last over the next 5-10 years. When hiring these staff, multinational companies are assigning important human resources to their projects; however, incoming expatriate staff into Saudi Arabia, face a myriad of issues in settling-in to the country that may negatively affect their morale, production, and retention. Our client's service line seeks to address this gap in the market by providing professional housing and relocation services to these staff through fee-based contracts with the corporations. The business line includes serving as the corporation’s relocation and mobility advisor, facilitating housing for their incoming staff, facilitating visa and paperwork for their staff, and soft services such as school orientation, nanny/maid service, rental car service, and a general orientation to expatriate life in the Kingdom. The essential components of this service are showing added value and expected results to the corporation, delivering the services to the satisfaction of the individual expat customer, and managing the operations with efficiency to maximize profit.

Based in Riyadh, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the company set up process, leading the company's sales and business development activities, managing the company's operations, hiring and training new staff, and achieving targets for sales, revenue and P&L. The ability to manage relationships with both Saudi companies and Arabic speaking clients, as well as large multi-national corporations made up primarily of Western staff is also essential.

Summary of job functions

•Takes overall responsibility for company profit/loss, and implements all activities towards achieving company profitability

•Create and presents to the Board of Directors, strategic marketing and sales plans for approval and then oversees implementation

•Oversees and personally implements business development activities in order to attract new clients within established targets and manages staff to ensure those targets are reached

•Establishes and manages relationships with real estate and service companies in Saudi Arabia for joint-venture or subcontracting arrangements

•Leads, motivates, coaches, and mentors staff and is responsible for staff performance

•Manages budget and operational components of the company’s operations

•Maintains a strong understanding of trends in the real estate and relocation / mobility industries; reviews trade journals and attends staff and association meetings to keep informed

•Represents the company in meetings, events, and to various institutions and establishments in the Kingdom

•Recruits and hires sales staff

•Resolves customer complaints regarding sales and service

•Reviews operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability

•Prepares budgets and approves budget expenditures

•Directs clerical staff to keep records and reports

Requirements

The right candidate will have previous proven experience in the Global Mobility / Relocation sector. It is vital to be a self starter, able to motivate and inspire your staff. Prior managerial experience in a similar position and a through working knowledge of the Saudi market place is essential.

Education, skills and experience

•Fluent bi-lingual English and Arabic speaker required, any other European language spoken is a bonus

•Bachelor’s / college degree required, with additional education preferred

•Minimum ten (10) years experience in real estate, hospitality, or other relevant industry which deals with a high number of customers relocating or arriving in-country

•Minimum two (2) years work experience in Saudi Arabia required with proven market knowledge of the Saudi Arabia market

•Prior experience with start-up or SME companies required

•Proven ability to achieve sales targets and generate revenue preferable with a new business line

•Knowledge of the relocation / mobility / recruitment industry helpful
