Job description / Role
As General Manager - Heavy Equipment in Qatar you will have full P&L and working capital responsibility of the Industrial equipments division; develops, implements and executes through his leadership, a strategy and operational plan for maximisation of the growth and the profitability of the division. This includes assessing the current organizational capability and identifying strengths and gaps in order to leverage substantial expansion.
1. Plan, develop and implement strategy and budgets for the operational management of the division within agreed targets and timelines, in coordination with the MD
2. Monitor measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans for achievement within agreed formats and timescales.
3. Develop procedures and processes that adequately support the business and secure the quality of the work
4. Ensure that relationship with principals are developed and maintained and that common business is developed appropriately.
5. Ensure the appropriate recruitment of managers and staff; facilitate their training and development and assessment of their capabilities by using appropriate systems for measuring KPIs.
6. Liaise with other functional/department managers so as to understand all required aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purpose and achievements.
7. Safeguard the division assets, and assets given in to the care of the company.
8. Ensure activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and security, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
9. Ensure that business operations are conducted according to the division and company procedures and policies and general values.
10. As a member of the management team of the company contribute to the overall development of the company
Requirements
As General Manager - Heavy Equipments working under the Industrial equipments division you require the following experience:
• Degree in Engineering - Preferred
• Master's in Business Administration or other related field
• Minimum 10 years managerial experience
• Minimum 5 years of P&L experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience within Heavy Equipment or Trucks business
• 5 plus years of successful experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales and service teams
