General Manager – Hospitality

I have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager for a new, high profile, high volume, International restaurant in Abu Dhabi.
The main purpose of the role is to drive pre and post opening restaurant operations within this high volume venue. In conjunction with the F&B Co Operations team the successful candidate will be required to be involved in all aspects of opening the venue.
Pre opening duties include:
Attend and take ownership of meetings with the project management/operations development team to ensure all aspects of the unit are operationally viable and as per requested specification.
Take ownership of all aspects of procurement for front and back of house restaurant operations.
Take ownership of all aspects of recruitment, selection and training for restaurant.
Responsibility for maintaining all pre opening budgets and forecasted P&L
Implementing best practice benchmarks with regards to front and back of house service.
Ownership and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in conjunction with the Operations team.
Lead and develop a sales and marketing plan (12 months) in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing team.
Responsibility of development of all menu items both food and beverage.
Post opening requirements include:
Oversee day to day running of all operations.
Ongoing responsibility for recruitment, selection and training of the units for all staff.
Conduct weekly meetings with the following departments – Bar, Restaurant, Kitchen, Sales, Marketing & Events, Maintenance, Security and Operations
Ongoing responsibility for maintaining budgets and achieving sales forecast for the restaurant.
Driving sales through training, up selling and promotions
Delivery of the Sales and Marketing plan in conjunction with the relevant teams.
At least 2 years experience working as General Manager in a similar high profile, high volume international operation turning over in excess of $6-10 million per annum.
Will have come from a high volume mid casual General Manager’s background.
Experienced in pre and post opening of high volume F&B outlets.
Experienced in P&L accounts, forecasting, budgeting and stock control
Experience in high volume USA operations preferable
Highly motivated and extemely confident
Must be able to manage the business with a ‘hands on’ approach
