Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an independently owned Hotel Group who are looking to hire a General Manager for their four Star location in Dubai. Comprising of 200 rooms / suites, this establishment caters more to the business traveller in Dubai, offering two restaurants as well as leisure facilities such as a health club and swimming pool.
This role will report to the Group General Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the hotel and meeting both short term and long term objectives. Supervising staff of approximately 135 people with circa 10 direct reports, you will instil a code of conduct and customer service into all employees, ensuring that quality control is met at all times. You will control the P and L for this establishment and ultimately be responsible for managing revenue and increasing profitability, ensuring maximum efficiency whilst looking at ways to reduce costs.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a bachelors Degree, ideally in a hospitality related subject. You should have at least five years experience as a Hotel General Manager, it is essential that some of this experience is from the UAE. Arabic language skills although not essential would be an advantage.
